Who we are
Headquartered in Damongo, in Northern Ghana, the Center for Conflict transformation and Peace Studies (CECOTAPS) is a registered faith-based, non-profit peacebuilding institution committed to creating an enabling environment for authentic human development in the Tamale Ecclesiastical Province (TEP) which is co-terminus with the three regions in northern Ghana. CECOTAPS is committed to building local capacity for peace, justice and reconciliation through education and training. We equip and empower local communities to set their peace and development agendas and become leaders of social transformation. We focus on leadership, gender equity, youth development, co-existence, and entrepreneurship, as we believe they are key change agents in establishing peace, security and prosperity.
